Thankful for Local Farmers

The Carreon family is one of my favorite returning clients. Kevin and Anna are so incredibly kind, and their children are a dream to work with! They've put up with me in the freezing cold, and through teething nightmares. I truly adore this family!

When Anna let me know she'd really like to have some wildflowers at their family session, I knew I had to make it happen.

Thankfully I live in big farming community here in the Skagit Valley. All I had to do was ask around to a a few people, and before I knew it I was getting offers for various flower fields. Since it was the end of most flower seasons, the sunflower fields were the most recommended. We settled on a field that was already in bloom, and then squeezed them in for a session ASAP since we knew they'd be wilted before long.

This is not a field that's open to the public, which made the privacy so nice! Truly a photographers dream! I am forever grateful for the kindness of others.

The evening flowed nicely, and only one out of four kids made me work for smiles (teething is hard!) I can't wait to capture this family again!
