The Hottest Day of the Year

I adore first time parents. Everything is so new, and they're a little frazzled; but mostly they're so in love that nothing else matters. They've just discovered a kind of love they never knew existed, and what could be better than that?

We had no idea when we scheduled this session, that it would be the hottest day of the year. Washington summers usually get a few hot days in August, and summer never starts before the Fourth of July. Not this year. When I pulled up to the park at 7pm on June 26th, my thermostat read 100 degrees on the dot. So, armed with my misting fans, and a giant bottle of water I got out of my climate controlled car and embraced the heat.

Sarah and Shea were incredible, full of confidence, joy, sweat, and a little self doubt. That last one is only partially true because what new parent doesn't question everything they do? They doted on sweet Alivia, and the session flowed beautifully!
